Chapter 2
Josh Duhamel / Leo du Pres 
Josh, happy to converse with his audience of All My Children fans who attended his recent VIP party, Saturday, December 16, 2000, at Bocanuts in Boca Raton, Florida.
He spoke on many subjects, answered many questions on All My Children and mentioned his independent movie shot in Bulgaria, Oscar Wilde's classic, The Picture Of Dorian Gray, in which he plays the lead roll.
Here's Josh with the grand raffle prize at his gathering,
a director's script of an All My Children episode, autographed by various cast members.
"But before we give it up to a lucky fan....let's have a little fun with it."
Well, what have we here?
"Oooohhh!...Who's in this script?....Can I play Edmund Grey?"

Josh becomes seriously involved, making sure he gets all the right expressions and mannerisms that are the personification of actor John Callahan as Edmund.
Well, time to put up the next item up for bid on the auction block.....It's Josh!
Bidding began at one hundred dollars and ended with a lucky lady winning lunch and a tour of the AMC Studios with Josh for six hundred and fifty bucks. This was done all in the name of charity for a worthwhile organization.
After Josh took time to meet and greet fans in the audience, Jamie the promoter for the event (And sometimes comedian), took me backstage to Josh's cozy and luxurious dressing room. It was a hallway about 3x8x45. The walls, as you can see, were fashionably and festively decorated in this nouveau riche putty shade of spackle. I informed Josh that Walt Willey and Cameron Mathison (AMC's Jackson Montgomery and Ryan Lavery) have shared this very same exclusive and elite wardrobe area, and that in a few weeks comedian Robert Klein would also have the honor of inhabiting this room. (Was it a room?...ok a "space") I got some satisfaction in knowing that Josh found my humor amusing.
We stood and chatted backstage for almost half an hour while the AMC Fan's
out front challenged a nightclub comedian to make them laugh.
"I feel like I'm at a photo shoot."
Well, gee! I guess you are Josh....Smile for the folks!
I told him how the AMC Fans are loving his portrayal of Leo du Pres. I also told him, that never in my entire history of watching this show have I seen another untrained actor do so well with a character, and gain popularity with the fans so rapidly.
Woops phone call....just a second please....
Well, the local comedian's shtick is just about over so we wander back out front,
snap a photo together and he's off again mingling with his admirers.
(Ahhh...what the heck...a bit blurry but a warm, expressive one...)
Josh takes a beverage break between visits to admirers.
Never have I seen an actor sit so long and shmooze with the fans!
Josh was extremely candid this particular night.....So, I will tell you all that I lost the notes that I took, when he spoke to the audience so freely and openly. Tee hee....Besides he told me he was coming into this site to peek at what I've done!
Involved in conversation about AMC plots and his thoughts on what's happening in Pine Valley.
Oh did I mention that Josh took out his wallet and bought everyone in the audience a beverage of their choice? A very generous gesture indeed, considering a mixed drink at this nightclub was six bucks!
"He has a childlike, charming personality."
Those are my final thoughts on getting to know Josh Duhamel. I like people who have a lighthearted spirit. He's a good guy and an honest individual.
